Happy 5th Birthday Lucas

Happy Birthday Lucas!!!!
Lucas' Birthday started with an early trip to Putt-Putt

AND

ended with a party at Chuck E. Cheese!

He asked for a Chuck E. Cheese birthday all year and he FINALLY got it!

End of the School Year

Pearce finished 3rd grade with straight A's and Lucas completed Pre-K!  Way to go boys, we are so proud of you!!!

Fishing

First Day of June and summer vacation and we went fishing!  To make sure we were going to have a successful fishing trip we stopped off at a stocked pond.   My goal was to make First Day of Summer a success and it was :)

After the pond we went to Grapevine Lake to a spot just up the road from our house where we grew up as kids.  We didn't catch any fish there, but it was a success for me.  I watched my boys get their bait from the same small grocery convenient store we always stopped at as kids, and my parents stopped at when they were in High School. So of course I had to have the boys pose for a picture in front of Yates Corner.

Camping

Pearce is now a Weeblo in cub scouts and with that comes monthly camping trips.  So, it only seemed fit that we would ALL go to see him experience his first camp out with his Den.  I did my best to give Paul and Pearce plenty of time to get situated at the camp site before Lucas and I just "showed up".  After all the camp site was less than a mile from my Dad's house which is where Lucas and I were going anyway ;)  We stayed long enough to watch them put up their tent and for Lucas to play around a little bit with some of the other siblings that tagged along also.  It was the first day of triple digit heat so we didn't stay long.

Did I mention we "stopped by" on our way home, too?

What? They were grilling hot dogs and making S'mores....We didn't want to miss that!

May 2012

Friends and Family Gathered Here!!!

We celebrated our soon to be arrival of Jonathan with family and friends early in May. My two sweet sweet sisters hosted a Baby Shower for Paul and I. My oldest sister, Angie, lives in CA and wasn't able to be present for the shower itself, but she was ever present in our hearts. She hand made the decorations for the party and took care of the invitations. I'm sure there was much more that she was a part of but a lot of the details were left to be a surprise.

My other  sister, Courtney, came over early in the day and with my Mother's assistance pulled off the most wonderful and most beautifully put together Baby Celebration. I received several compliments on the party, and directed all of the gratitude to both of my sisters.

I get sad any time our family gets together to either celebrate or just hang out and Sister Angie and her family aren't here, but she is always here in our hearts. Pearce and Lucas do their best to keep in contact with Angie, Brett, Henry, Ruby, and Charlotte. I am truly blessed to have two big sisters that are my best friends and who love me and my family so very much. I love you Angie and Courtney and all of the time you both put in to making sure Paul and the boys and I had a wonderful Baby Party!

Later in May my Best Friends hosted a Birthday Party for me which doubled as another small shower for Jonathan.  Paul and I had a wonderful time at both showers and are blessed to have a wonderful family and friends to share in our joy.  Thank you to every one!!
